Makasi Rescue Foundation and International Rescue Committee (IRC) collaborated on the Rebuild project in Kampala to develop sustainable livelihood solutions for urban refugees and host communities in KCCA divisions. The project aimed to create positive change by promoting economic self-reliance and evidence-based approaches. It focused on enhancing access to livelihood opportunities, inclusive services, and influencing refugee policies at local and global levels. The program sought to empower refugees and host communities through innovative strategies, ultimately improving their well-being and fostering self-sufficiency.

Project Impact Summary

– 177 beneficiaries trained in vocational skills
– 47 mothers supported with child care stipends
– 6 saving groups formed with 120 members
– Workshops created for self-reliance
